Description
The Glavotok campsite is situated on the west
coast of the island of Krk, in the area known as "Sottovento"
(an Italian word, meaning sheltered from the wind).
The campsite is only 15 km from the town of Krk and in the
immediate vicinity of the picturesque villages of Milohnic,
Brzac and Glavotok with its Franciscan monastery housing
the church of Holy Mary from 1507.
A path by the sea leads to the nearby little church of St.Kševan,
built in the 9th century, an outstanding cultural monument
and one of the earliest examples of Old Croatian architecture.
Our campsite has 300 units that can accommodate 600 people.
Centuries old oak woods provide natural shade from the summer
heat throughout the campsite. The woods and the clear, transparent
sea form a unique and unspoilt natural setting for a relaxing
and carefree holiday.
We show special concern for the protection of our environment
and are proud to be the first in Croatia that have introduced
a herbal waste water treatment plant, using reeds in a system
of tanks to filter waste water in a natural way.
The campsite's restaurant with a spacious terrace is located
right at the seafront and offers traditional Mediterranean
dishes. There is also a grocery shop with all the items
that campers might need during their stay in Glavotok.
